CREO is a non-profit organization based in Waterloo Region in southwestern Ontario, with volunteer members from across Canada.
CREO’s Board and volunteer reviewers consist of community members, community-based researchers, academics, representatives of the not-for-profit sector, government, and others with experience on research ethics boards.
CREO’s membership includes two primary volunteer roles: Board of Directors and Research Ethics Reviewers. Many of the members of our Board of Directors also act as research ethics reviewers in addition to their duties as Directors. Every CREO application is, at the minimum, reviewed by two research ethics reviewers and discussed by the Board, when needed.
